About Jìngzhōu (Viola) Liu

I am a Mathematics Ph.D. at University of Texas at Dallas, under the supervision of Wieslaw Krawcewicz and Carlos García Azpeitia.
My research area is Equivariant Degree Theory -- a branch of nonlinear analysis where PDEs, dynamical systems, and algebraic topology come to play. You’re invited to check out my research page for more details.
Moreover, I also earned a Master’s in Statistics from Southern Methodist University, where I built a solid foundation in machine (deep) learning — and spent about five years working in this world.
Now, thanks to these two journeys, I find myself can speak two languages: equivariance and machine learning. I'm currently on the lookout for postdoc opportunities where both voices meet and resonate.
